Laura Bonsera, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has been working in Mental health since 1999. She graduated from the University of Central Florida, with her master’s degree in Social Work. Her bachelor’s degree was received at Stony Brook University in Psychology.
Laura is a member of the Postpartum Support International, and is a member and volunteer for the Postpartum Resource Center of NY. She has been an active member of the mood disorder task force, bringing about awareness of PPD, antipartum depression, and the importance of prenatal care. As well as, a member of the Mental Health Association in Suffolk County.
Laura’s career has primarily centered around adolescent and women’s issues. However, her real “passion”… passion for perinatal mood disorders, began after her own experience with perinatal and postpartum depression. Since that time, she has dedicated herself to assisting families who are struggling with this illness and all of its complexities.
